CIL is accepting applications for a Research Associate to join our International Law and Practice Programme, with the following main duties:
• As part of our innovative Teaching International Law in Asia project (TRILA), assisting the Programme Head in researching and preparing international law teaching materials with an Asian focus, including for internet dissemination, and potential regional travel for training sessions;
• Assisting in organising and executing CIL’s annual TRILA Workshop and Singapore International Arbitration Academy, including event design and management and post-event reporting; and
• Conducting in-depth research in topics of international law, both self-directed and as assigned.
Candidates must possess a minimum qualification of an LL.B. with an LL.M. being highly desirable. Candidates must have a good knowledge of international law; highly developed research and writing skills; strong organisational and communications skills; the IT and publishing skills necessary to prepare teaching materials for online use; and demonstrated initiative. Candidates from the region and/or with knowledge of regional language(s) and/or teaching and work experience in international law training (for example, with judiciaries) will have an advantage.
