Madrid Protocol Accession in Indonesia on October 2, 2017:
Indonesian Government welcomes and supports Local Enterprises to make their brands worldwide.

Indonesia has committed to the aims to ASEAN Economic Community by accessed the Madrid Protocol on October 2, 2017 and was ratified on the Presidential Regulation Number 92 of year 2017 concerning to Madrid Protocol Accession.
–“One Application, One number of Registration, One Renewal, One Currency and One Document.”—
is the focus concept of the Madrid Protocol which will bring benefit to the local Enterprises. The system will make the International Brands Registration more efficient and also make the local brands will be easier to be in the International market.
To conduct this ratification, Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights in Indonesia (a.k.a Direktorat Jendral Kekayaan Intelektual / DJKI ) will process those enterprises who have their brands registered or those whose brands are on process of registration in Indonesia before filling their brands to International one. If all the requirements are complete, DJKI will send the documents to the Geneva, Switzerland especially to the World Intellectual Property Organization ( WIPO ) to be registered.
